Paul Pfeiffer: Prologue to the Story of the Birth of Freedom opens at the Guggenheim Bilbao this Saturday, 30 November 2024.

 

This major solo exhibition represents Paul Pfeiffer’s most extensive presentation in Europe to date, featuring around 30 works spanning 25 years of the artist’s pioneering practice. Prologue to the Story of the Birth of Freedom highlights Pfeiffer's evolution as an artist, presenting iconic pieces that draw upon the dramatic narratives of sports and religion, alongside recent works that address colonial legacies and the complexities of identity.

 

Organised by The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA), in collaboration with the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
