Patricia Leite, Olho d’água, opens at Instituto Tomie Ohtake, São Paulo, on Friday 14 March 2025.
This exhibition will bring together around 30 works including drawings, paintings and objects, spanning four decades of Patricia Leite’s career, from the 1980s to the present day.
Olho d’agua will feature some of Leite’s most iconic paintings in which the artist creates what she describes as ‘landscape sensations’, the inspirations for which range from her own travels and photographs, to song lyrics, poetry and cinema. Also seen here for the first time will be a number of objects produced between 2020 and 2025 composed from found materials including pieces of glass, wood, pebbles and beads.
Curated by Germano Dusha. Produced by the Ministry of Culture of Brazil, via the Federal Law of Incentive to Culture.
